Who this policy covers
This policy applies to information OBITCO receives through this website, the secure OBITCO File Upload, email, phone, mail, remote support and in-store services. A linked carrier, Fieldprint, AnyDesk, TradingView, Google, Facebook, eBay or other third party follows its own privacy and security terms. OBITCO does not control information you provide directly to those external services.
Information we collect
The information depends on what you ask us to do. It may include your name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing or service address, billing details, order and appointment information, communications, project requirements, and files or photographs you choose to provide.
- Shipping and store services: recipient and sender details, shipment records, tracking numbers, declared values, return documentation, notarial records, fax or scan destinations and service notes.
- Mailbox rentals: identification and address documentation required for USPS Form 1583 and commercial-mail-receiving-agency requirements. Do not email identity documents unless an OBITCO team member provides an approved method.
- IT, repair, remote support and eWaste: device make, model, serial number, operating system, specifications, issue descriptions, service history, network details, account or access information you authorize, and technician notes.
- Printing, graphic design and websites: project specifications, domains, brand materials, text, images, proofs, source files, hosting details and billing or support records.
- Coins, currency and precious metals: item descriptions, quantities, weights, photographs, certification numbers, appraisal details, offer and payment records, shipping details and identity or tax information required to document a transaction.
Website forms and email
The contact, sell-request, website-project and print-quote forms prepare a message in your email application. This website does not maintain a separate online database of those form entries. Your browser, email provider and OBITCO's email system process the message. Do not include passwords, Social Security numbers, full financial-account numbers, payment-card numbers or unnecessary medical or identity information.
A file chooser on the print-quote form records only the selected file names in the prepared email. It does not transmit those files. Use the secure OBITCO File Upload page when you want to transfer file contents to OBITCO.
Secure customer file uploads
The OBITCO File Upload collects the customer's name, email address, phone number, project instructions, selected files, submission time and limited technical information used for security and anti-abuse controls. Files are stored in private object storage. After a successful transfer, OBITCO receives an email notification containing customer details and private, unguessable download links. The storage and email-delivery providers process this information for OBITCO to operate the transfer.
Uploaded files and their associated submission record are available for no more than five days. Download links stop working at expiration, and an automated cleanup process removes the expired submission. OBITCO may delete a submission sooner after retrieving it or when it appears malicious, unlawful or unrelated to a legitimate service request. The upload system is temporary transfer, not archival storage or a backup. Customers must keep their originals.
Do not upload passwords, payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, medical records, government identification or other unnecessary sensitive information. File names and project instructions should also avoid unnecessary confidential information.
Devices, files and remote support
OBITCO accesses customer devices, accounts or files only as reasonably necessary for authorized troubleshooting, repair, recovery, transfer, printing, design or support. By approving remote support, you authorize the technician to view or control the device for the requested work. Close unrelated private material, provide only the access needed and maintain a current backup whenever possible.
Fieldprint appointments
Fieldprint schedules and administers its fingerprinting program. Appointment and applicant information entered on Fieldprint's website is handled under Fieldprint's policies. OBITCO receives only the information needed to provide the scheduled in-store service and maintain required service records.
Tracking and carrier websites
When you enter a tracking number, the site uses it in your browser to open the selected carrier's official tracking page. OBITCO does not retrieve or store the live shipment status through this website. The carrier receives the tracking number when its page opens.
Technical data, storage and embeds
Our hosting and security infrastructure may process IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date, time, referring page, and diagnostic or security events. The accessibility menu stores your selected display preferences in this browser's local storage. Those preferences are not used to identify you and can be cleared with the menu's reset button or your browser settings.
The live precious-metals ticker is an embedded TradingView feature. If it loads, TradingView may receive technical information and use cookies or similar storage under its own policy. You may hide the ticker with the Accessibility button. OBITCO also uses Meta Pixel on this website to measure visits and the effectiveness of links from the OBITCO Facebook page. Meta may receive browser, device and page-event information under its own terms and may use cookies or similar technologies. See the Cookie Policy.

How information is disclosed
OBITCO does not sell personal information or disclose it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose the minimum information reasonably needed to payment processors, carriers, remote-support and hosting platforms, repair or specialty partners, recyclers, logistics providers, insurers, accountants, attorneys, government authorities or other providers that support the service you requested. We may also disclose information to prevent harm, investigate fraud, enforce an agreement or comply with a valid legal requirement.
Payment-card transactions are handled by payment processors. This website does not store full payment-card numbers. Government reporting may be required for certain cash or regulated transactions, including a report of qualifying cash payments exceeding $10,000 in a single or related transaction.
Retention and disposal
Retention depends on the record and service. Secure File Upload submissions have a maximum five-day retention period as described above. Separate project copies that OBITCO downloads into an authorized production or service record may be retained only as reasonably needed to complete the requested work, document approvals or support a transaction. Other transaction, appraisal, invoice and service records may be retained longer when required or reasonably necessary for accounting, tax, warranty, USPS, notarial, fraud-prevention, security, insurance, dispute and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, OBITCO takes reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it.
Security and West Virginia breach notice
OBITCO uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No email, transmission, storage method, device repair or remote session can be guaranteed completely secure. If a security incident affects personal information protected by West Virginia law, OBITCO will investigate and provide required notice without unreasonable delay, subject to the timing and exceptions allowed by law.
Your choices and responsibilities
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of information maintained by OBITCO. A request may be limited when records must be retained for a transaction, accounting, tax, USPS, notarial, warranty, fraud prevention, security, legal obligations or claims. You may opt out of nonessential marketing at any time. Browser settings can clear cookies and local storage; the Accessibility menu can reset its preferences.
You are responsible for maintaining current backups, removing unnecessary private information where practical, protecting credentials and confirming that you have lawful authority to provide every device, account, file, shipment or item.
Children
The website and OBITCO's commercial services are not directed to children under 13. OBITCO does not knowingly collect a child's personal information online without the consent required by law. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information should contact us.
