Cookies and similar technology
A cookie is a small text file stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, software identifiers and server logs. They can deliver a page, remember a preference, secure a service, diagnose errors or support embedded content.
OBITCO's first-party use
OBITCO does not place first-party advertising cookies. We use Meta Pixel to measure visits and the effectiveness of links from the OBITCO Facebook page; Meta may set or read cookies and similar identifiers under its own policies. The website host and security infrastructure may use necessary technical identifiers and logs to deliver pages, balance traffic, prevent abuse, diagnose errors and protect the service.
The lower-left Accessibility menu uses local storage named obitco-accessibility-preferences to remember text size, contrast, font, link, motion and live-ticker choices in that browser. A separate functional timestamp named obitco-upload-cleanup prevents a browser from repeatedly requesting the same expired-upload cleanup task. Neither value is used for advertising or maintained as an OBITCO customer profile. Use Reset Options in the menu or clear site data in your browser to remove accessibility preferences; standard browser controls can clear both values.
Live precious-metals ticker
The live ticker is provided by TradingView. When it loads, TradingView may receive your IP address, browser or device details and the page requesting the widget, and may use cookies or similar storage under its own privacy and cookie terms. OBITCO does not use the ticker to build an advertising profile. You can prevent the widget from displaying by opening the Accessibility menu and choosing Hide Live Metals Display.
External services
Carrier tracking, Fieldprint, AnyDesk, Google Maps, Facebook, eBay and other linked providers are separate services. Their cookies and storage are controlled by those providers and generally begin when you open their website or tool. Review the provider's policies before supplying information. The secure OBITCO File Upload does not add an advertising cookie; its hosting and security infrastructure may process necessary request identifiers and logs to deliver the transfer, limit abuse and diagnose errors.
Your controls
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies and local storage. Blocking necessary storage may prevent a preference, login, embedded feature or external service from working. The website remains usable if you hide the live metals ticker, and OBITCO can provide information by phone if an external feature is unavailable.
Changes and contact
Meta Pixel is controlled by Meta, and browser settings or available Meta controls can limit its cookies. If OBITCO introduces additional optional analytics, advertising or other cookie-based tools, this policy will be updated to identify the technology and available choices. See the Privacy Policy for broader information practices. Questions may be sent to geeks@obitco.com or made by phone at (304) 867-4811.
